Does anyone know why I had an invalidated feedback on this? I had marked as tp- as the OP edited to include offensive content. Plus I had also tp-'ed from SOCVR and that was not invalidated. Only my tp- from here was
@Undo Yeah, I did that because I literally didn't see another reason for the feedback. So it made it appear that more than one user thought it was a tp but that wasn't true.
the thing about the numbers is people are naturally nervous, they don't want to be kicked from smokey. The other issue is, providing reliable and consistent feedback, the other issue is, not being misunderstood on motives. If I give double feedback, it's because no one else has in socvr and for the reasons I said above or I disagree with the feedback given in socvr. So the feedback on socvr for me it to actually communicate with the members of that room more so than provde feedback for MS
You need to understand why people are concerned about the numbers. From my personal viewpoint, I'm a perfectionist and want to give 100% accurate feedback, so I concern myself with improving my accuracy. For others there may be other reasons as well.
@Undo Yes I agree, as the easiest way to convey to other room members it to reply to the report. Sometimes I will see a user leave a comment, indicating it's spam, and I know from in here it's not, so I will sd f the report in socvr and then comment to stop a potential pile on of flags, and also the opposite case can be true, but is not so urgent
the sd f will remove the report, so prevents quick access to the post
@Yvette Yeah, that's one reason I don't like the "ignore feedback if %" part. But you don't have to always give feedback in here -- if you don't, someone else either will, or no one will.
@hichris123 well usually I give feedback here and then my attention will be drawn to socvr, I'm not always in there. And then I will actively seek out the room and reply. It's the system I have. This room is always in an open tab for me.
it's therapuetic. I work and study from home and it's like a very good brain diversion, it distracts me enough to give my brain a reboost when concentrating. If that makes sense? Otherwise I get bored and tired from focusing on the one thing.
Yeah, that's fine. But remember, this is just a side project. It's not anything that you have to do, nor is it something that you should expect to get praise out of. It's moderation, like everything else.
Worked like a treat for me booting from a USB stick running crunchbang Linux. I couldn't use the sudo chntpw SAM option but i was able to use the sudo chntpw -u SAM. I tried setting the password which didn't work, but choosing the option to blank the password worked perfectly

@Yvette it's your wish. I'm actually doing something right now, so might not be as quick, but if you're busy, I can. If you're doing it, that's alright also.

@AshishAhujaツ I am skeptical. A user who is too stupid to link to a specific chip or anything, but manages to link to the merchant? Anyway, it’s already deleted.
