@ThaddeusB One more suggested edit for me to elbow my way onto the bottom of the list of top editors. Keep 'em coming! ;-)

If someone >3k wants to cast a reopen vote on this question I'd appreciate it.
@LeeWoofenden :) Probably a week or so until I hit 2K, so you should have some of chances

@ThaddeusB Cram in those edits! Once you hit 2k, you ain't gonna get no more rep for no edits. ;-)

@LeeWoofenden "Unfortunately" I may some questions to ask/answer, so I won't be able to maximize my editing credits. :)

@ThaddeusB What? You think this site is about questions and answers, or something?!?

Q: How was Jesus the Seed of David if Jesus is God who created Man (Adam), and David is the seed of Adam?

Graham DennisHow is Jesus the Messiah, the seed of David, if Jesus is God, and God created Man (Adam), and David is the seed of Adam? This is a never-ending circle and can't physically be possible. We are told in scripture in the Old Testament that the Messiah will be the seed of David. This prophecy is fulfi...

However, it means I can't give a Swedenborgian answer to the question, since by the usual definition of "Trinitarian," he's not a trinitarian. That's too bad, because if the questioner is leaning toward Judaism because of problems in the NT and trinitarian thought, he might actually like Swedenborg's solution to this problem.
Oh, that should have been @ThaddeusB.

@LeeWoofenden It was your comment about being too broad that caused the scoping (original Catholic, then Trinitarian). I didn't really see a problem to begin with - I suppose the real intent is to exclude God only or human only type views. Perhaps "Among those who believe in the incarnation - that is that Jesus is fully human and fully God - how is this resolved?" would be better?

Eyyy, fourth round of yearling badges going out!
...which puts me at 41 silver badges before I get 100 bronze. Missed out on a nice 10-40-100 pattern. DANG!
The fact that the total is still a nice even 150 badges only helps a little. >_>

@ThaddeusB Yep, I can be my own worst enemy! As originally worded, it seemed to me to invite personal opinion, which is why I brought up scoping. I've now used some of your wording and some of mine to make it broader but still limited to Christian denominations and theologians who affirm the Incarnation.
@El'endiaStarman You get one every year? Not just once?
@El'endiaStarman I feel so bad for you!!! :-P

@LeeWoofenden Yup! It's one of the few repeatable badges.
Also, this means that today is the four-year anniversary of private beta's start for C.SE!

@LeeWoofenden Good edit

@El'endiaStarman Happy Fourth Birthday, Christianity.SE!
@El'endiaStarman Were you one of the originators of this SE?

@LeeWoofenden 58th person to register!
New blog post! My Notes on 1 Timothy

@El'endiaStarman Did you register on the first day of the beta?

9:53 PM
@LeeWoofenden Yup!

@El'endiaStarman Very nice.

10:09 PM
@LeeWoofenden These are the 183 people that signed up during the private beta.
Presumably, 10 of them are now-deleted accounts.
108 people signed up on the 23rd alone.

@El'endiaStarman Does that "Community" character always have to be first?!?

@LeeWoofenden Yup! They're always #-1!

@El'endiaStarman Must come from an alternate universe made of antimatter . . . .

@MattGutting: The God that I believe in wouldn't have authored or inspired that poppycock. The Pope should stand up and tell the world that a human authored that passage without inspiration from God, and then, with the cursor positioned at the end of Deuteronomy 2:29, the Pope should press the delete key on his MacBook several times and hit 'Save'. — Jim G. 1 min ago

Is that @JimG. on the sidewalk there? :P

@LeeWoofenden I'm kinda surprised it's not a lightning bolt.

@El'endiaStarman Lightning is kind of . . . old-fashioned. God is adapting to modern technology.

@LeeWoofenden A piano is not as modern as I would've expected.
Actually, I wonder why the artist did choose a piano. Because of Tom and Jerry? :P

@LeeWoofenden: So you support that passage?
You guys are nuts if you support that passage. And you're not Christians to me or my God
Here you go guys. Just for you. Because you support that passage:youtu.be/bmtbg5b7_Aw

@JimG. That was a huge jump to an unwarranted conclusion.
You didn't even give Lee a chance to respond!

@JimG. Honestly, I only glanced at it. I'd have to look at it more closely to see what your objection is. I do often interpret Scripture differently than traditional Christians do. Really, this just popped into my head when I read the comment you posted here. Just my funny sense of humor. ;-)
@El'endiaStarman Okay, Okay! God is just having fun! If you must know, I'm always teasing my "prepare for everything" wife about making sure she's prepared for a piano to fall on her head. Thank you, Larson! :-P

11:01 PM
OK. Phew! :)

@JimG. It's certainly tough believing in a God who doesn't reflect your own values: adam4d.com/values & adam4d.com/think-about-it
