@gansub I haven't had time to think about that, but I may weigh in with an opinion today. Note that diamond mods don't unilaterally determine what is in scope, that is left to the overall community. If you don't get a good response to your meta Q, you can always post a question on the site and see if it survives. You could also leave a comment on that question pointing back to your meta Q for discussion on scope.

how's life at the northern hemisphere?
 
thankfully warming from one of our coldest winters on record. I was lucky enough to live on the only region of the globe to experience below average temperatures DJF :)
(that region being between the Mississippi river and the Atlantic ocean, USA)
 
warming is good. Here it's beginning to get cold. Mornings are a nightmare
I didn't think australia was that cold.. But I guess Canberra is a bit different than the rest of the country :)
 
Our february was only above 0 C two days of the month and 10 days we had temperatures below -17 C (seems like an odd threshold, but that is 0 F...). Coldest morning with windchill was around -38 C
