Sounds like a good time to just forward your email to a Gmail account...

Hi Academia users.
I have a suggestion about revising the off-topic policies.
When a user votes to close the question
S/he has three choices:
Too localized..., Undergraduates questions..., Specific advice...
Besides to these he will have two choices to inform a moderator about the question
and say that the question belongs to another website
I think that
We can bring those three reasons above in the help center:
and merge those choices into only one off-topic choice like:
This question is not in the scope defined in the Academia's help center.
This way, the user will not be confused which option to choose from.
Also, I think that the fourth option that the question belongs to another website
needs more attention
because when a user thinks the question belongs to another site and chooses that option
the only option that he finds in the next page will be a link to the Academia's meta website
Cannot we have an extra option to allow the user to type the name of the website which he thinks the question belongs to?
This way, I think the closing options will be more optimized...
- Off-topic:
-- This question is not in the scope defined in the Academia's [help center](http://academia.stackexchange.com/help/on-topic).
-- This question belongs on another site in the Stack Exchange network
---- Belongs on Academia's meta website.
---- Belongs on another Stack Exchange [website](http://stackexchange.com/sites).
-- Other (add a comment explaining what is wrong)

@EnthusiasticStudent In terms of the migration list. This changed a while back and there are a bunch of questions on meta:
My understanding is the SE team thinks the current system is better. Probably, best to ask for that as a feature request on meta (but be prepared to be shot down).
In terms of the off topic reasons, if there is no agreement (I think majority of close votes) on the close reason, then the close reason is listed as "This question is not in the scope defined in the Academia's help center."
I think that means you do not need to stress about getting the "right" reason.

@StrongBad Thank's for your reply. That was just a suggestion which I thought may increase the site's efficiency.

@EnthusiasticStudent I think it is a reasonable suggestion, but it seems to go against the general SE thinking. If people here want it, we can fight for it.
