And yet my 16-year old consoles are still running fine.
The whole point was, you just take a piece of plastic and you plug it into another piece of plastic, and you are good to go. And with no loading times, too!
@RegDwigнt Are you sure? My machine is now 6 years old, and when I built it I based it on parts from the "recommended budget PC build" sites at the time.
@Robusto I tried Steam because I wanted to play FTL. That was a year ago or so. Today I still haven't played a second of FTL, and I still have no Steam.
@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 Yes, well, at least it isn't a company with totally screwed up economic incentives, like all the console guys. And games still load if you're offline! Maybe there are exceptions, but most games will still load, right?
@RegDwigнt No, you misunderstand me. You were complaining that your PC can't play games. I said it could, and you said where do I get those games?, and I said "steam", which is, in my experience, at least as good as what modern consoles offer.
But yeah, just the other month I downloaded and played Costume Quest, plus the extension plus Costume Quest 2, only to notice that I'd have paid half the price on Steam.
@RegDwigнt So anyway, you can get 100000000 games for very little money on Steam, games from 6 years ago that are still super cool, or Indie games, and you can play them offline, after installation. Only the latest AAA games are expensive on Steam, and some of them may require being online white starting the game.
@RegDwigнt Steam is better than Origin in everything. So if you can, get the game on Steam rather than Origin. But if it's free on Origin, why not keep both spying programmes installed?
So the times in the transcript match your memory of when stuff happens even if it's off by an hour, unless you distinctly remember that you said something at noon and the transcript shows 11am or 1pm or whatever it will show
But for me the times in the transcript are total rubbish
the day boundaries are meaningless
I have to try to remember what the current offset is from GMT, and how that reflects on the times in the transacript
If something happened "at the end of the day" for me, it's actually in tomorrow's transcript.
It has always been thus, and it's pretty noticeable.
@Robusto Middle schools must be different where you are. Here, teachers have 7 45 minute periods of teaching per day and at most one of them is a spare.
So here's a question: If an asteroid 1km in diameter (assume spherical) were to be headed stright for the top of your head traveling 50,000 kph, would it ever actually hit you or would you be vaporized by the plasma generated by the friction between the asteroid and the atmosphere before it could ever land?
> MAN PROPOSES MARRIAGE STANDING IN A HEART MADE OF IPHONES, STILL GETS TURNED DOWN
> Apparently, according to local reports, the love-struck guy spent the equivalent of $95,000 on 99 iPhone 6 smartphones, and proposed to his girlfriend while standing in the middle of the carefully arranged iPhone-heart, holding a bunch of flowers. The answer was no.
Lyrics from Case Kisser by Skinned Teen
You're gonna be a pillowcase splitter.
Break it out Break your pillow every night...
What is "a pillowcase splitter"?
and what does it mean by "Break it out Break your pillow every night"?
Thanks in advance
Not what I expected. They're each playing basically Guitar hero. I want the collective hive mind of Apple to be playing it, otherwise the Singularity can STFU.
@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 nice... I feel bad for him having to touch play on all those iphones and make sure they all synch up
