I think the correct answer needs deep understanding of the hardware / technology inside. I do not expect an correct answer from the perspective of an user. It comes out that the circuit of the splitter is different in some countries...; so the topic develops to be more and more technical. If you do not mind, I would appreciate to move it back to electronics.
