Here is the question.
Does this one belong in hermaneutics, as it seems to be related to the interpretation of that specific verse, or not? If not, why?
Thanks, I'm just trying to get a better feel for what is and isn't on-topic.
> A hundred years from now, Christians will proudly recall how they fought for LGBT rights at the beginning of the 21st Century, and if anyone reminds them of Christian opposition to our equality, they will reply, “But that was a FALSE Christianity!” So it happened with slavery, so it will happen with gays.
Not trying to rock the boat, but my name is Michael and I have always thought that it meant "Who is like God?" with a question mark. Significant meaning difference. — fredsbendFeb 25 '13 at 16:35
@curiousdannii I deleted all of the comments for being mostly non-constructive or obsolete. Yours additionally had a unnecessary and negative phrase that I couldn't really edit out without making the rest of the comment seem weird, like it was missing something.
Also realize that comments are intended to be transient, and in the past mods did leave comments noting the deletions, but we gradually stopped doing that. Perhaps in part because it kinda wasn't worth the effort.
@curiousdannii Sure, but it probably is a genuine belief that some people hold, and calling it "exceedingly dumb" is not constructive. Doesn't help improve the question.
"This site is for Christianity and all her heresies"...and wacky ideas too.
