I understand that the [company] team is close. That’s very apparent. And I can respect the desire to have a full-time dedicated resource on board. But I think things are a bit different on the systems engineering side (versus development). I’ve been working with small development teams, and see a certain trend when it comes to hiring and retaining systems folks:
- How do you find a sysadmin who has production experience, the right balance of deployment skills, good hardware chops, datacenter familiarity, internal/external customer soft-skills, who can learn quickly and is calm under pressure?
