I guess my main problem with Bastion is that I didn't really like how the story was told. I wanted to emotionally invest in its characters but the game didn't really give me much reason to.
Sure, I get told about the kid's tragic backstory, but I don't really get a feel for his character at all because it's always the narrator telling me what's happening.
> In fact, the only ways the Little League World Series could possibly be any more wholesome would be if your grandmother and Mr. Rogers served apple pie at the concession stands, that kid from Jerry Maguire played right field for all the teams, and Bob Ross set up an easel on the hill beyond center field and taught everyone how to paint happy little trees using nothing but a palette with a few globs of paint on it and what appeared to be a steak knife.
I've been playing Die2Nite for 3 days now, and still have basically no idea where to find many of the game's various notifications and alerts. So, following this trend, how will I know when I'm dead? Where will this be listed? I haven't got much longer to live, and would like to know where to ...
The new League of Legends patch (1.42.34) added in a "Kill Stream" (as well as a lot of other neat UI cleanups. It looks very pretty now, but I digress...) in addition to the announcements of "So and so has slain X" etc.
There appear to be at least three separate kill icons - A blue fireball, a ...
One of the notable 'features' of Fallout:New Vegas was the return to the series of 'Low Int Dialog' - that is to say, special dialog options in conversations that reflected the fact that you had rolled a Very Stupid Character.
Now, I know the threshhold for Low-Int speech options is generally 3...
While reviewing my flagging history, I noticed that I had one disputed flag. AFAIK, that means that someone without privileges to actually dismiss it said they thought I was wrong.
I flagged this question as a duplicate of the question it was closed as a dupe of.
So clearly, the mod(s) agreed ...
Hammerfall doesn't seem like it has the replay value that it should. It would be nice if you could play again in the same profile, and retain your items/money.
Often you'll see players in TvZ burrow banelings next to marines and try to bait marines into them. The Terran player seems to occasionally (or even often) scan the area where the mutas were trying to bait them over the banelings. Well, since the muta "bait" is literally free, wouldn't it make mo...

I've got most Alien Swarm achievements under my belt. In fact I'm missing:
SynTek residential speed run (time limit on a map)
Nuke from orbit (kill 100,000 swarm)
Outstanding execution (complete the entire campaign without anyone dying)
Nuke from orbit is basically easy (dunno if I'll even tr...
I am trying to export Rockband1 songs in PS3 so I can reuse most of the songs in Rockband3.
I read that the method to do this is installing the update for Rockband to enable the option (works fine) and then buy the "rockband export key" from the PSN Store which I have done too.
However, when I ...
Specifically I would like to mess with the idea of giving each bot a specific "personality" so to speak. Open Arena provides this functionality, and I'm assuming that Warsow/Nexiuz (Xonotic?) may provide the same.
However I remember scouring through Warsow/Nexuiz data files while back and was un...
We know that there are a few rules about the rate you build an ubercharge at, such as:
You build ubercharge faster if the patient isn't fully overhealed.
You build ubercharge faster if the patient isn't healed by somebody else.
You don't build ubercharge if you aren't healing anybody.
Do thes...
So I'm nearing the end of my second playthrough going through new game plus. I had already purchased everything I could in the first run, got all the idols, upgrades and whatnot. But it feels like I've missed something:
I could make stuff up all I want but is there a 24th vigil?
I used to really enjoy the game Super Bub Contest that was given away on a few Playstation magazine cover discs.
It was a Net Yaroze game, for the original PS.
I no longer have the discs, or a playstation. How can I play this game again? Preferably on some modern console (PS2; Wii; Xbox 360) ...
After finishing a couple of quests, you are directed to go to your apartment. If I have items in my inventory that I want to keep but don't want to carry around with me everywhere, is it safe to stash these items somewhere in my apartment?
In Fallout 3, shortly into the main quest there you also...
There seems to be a newish bug in Minecraft where redstone torches burn out sooner than they ought to, and never recover. (I think I heard that this can happen if you use /time set, but this is a single-player world.) I haven't been able to find any info on Minecraft Wiki about it.
How can I pre...
I'm surprised by the lack of voting on SO. It made sense to me when content was swept off the front page so quickly but even on FBSO the grand majority of questions don't have any votes.
I just saw a great metaphor for garbage collection in programming languages.
> I don't know about you, but when I walk into a convenience store, I pull the door open and walk in. From there, I don't turn around and pull the door closed behind me because it does that by itself. I don't think that makes me a better or worse shopper, but I think it's one less thing for me to worry about. There are no points awarded in life for having a bigger pile of stuff to worry about.

@Powerlord Probably aversion to the fact all my rather normal bland messages get inexplicably starred led to skipping over the one time I actually made a dig like that.
@AnnaLear Yeah, I'd imagine only breaking someone's neck a little bit and leading around a Johnny Depp minifig complaining about the lack of rum are quite disparate experiences
