7:00 PM
Hey

IPU?
Hi.

Congrats on your modship @andrew!

@Alraxite Invisible pink unicorn.

Oh.
Okay.

Wow, @aedia, have you been gone that long?

7:02 PM
@aediaλ Thanks. Welcome back :-)

!!tell alraxite wiki invisible pink unicorn

Had it just opened.

How was your trip, @aedia?

I saw the results but I don't think I managed to carve out time for chat between then and now.
It was fantastic!

7:04 PM
I never thought unicorn can be pink in color. Always thought of it as a white being.

The thermal features in Yellowstone are otherworldly.

user116848
But pink is different.

Stack Exchange unicorns come in all kinds of colors!

user116848
Yeah I noticed.

We are nothing if not diverse.

user116848
7:06 PM
Right :)

@aediaλ So what was your trip? Where else did you go? (I don't even know where you're from!)

@andrew I'm from the Northeast US and this was my first trip out to Wyoming.

Right. So No Passport Required (I guess).
I've never been across the Atlantic at all.

I stayed in Jackson Hole near the Grand Tetons and got to go on tours into Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone, on a raft ride down the Snake River, up an aerial tram, and a bunch of hiking and other fun stuff!

Sounds awesome! I want to go!

user116848
7:12 PM
Me too!

Yeah, no passport, but still had to fly pretty far, which was honestly the only bad part of the whole trip. I feel like flying has take a turn for the worse since the last time I flew (which was still post-TSA security theater so it wasn't that great then).
I haven't been across the Atlantic either! :)

You can also reach Europe by crossing the Pacific.
And then the whole of Asia.

Like that flight's going to be better!

Alternatively, you can launch yourself in orbit and try to land at your preferred destination.
The possibilities are truly endless. For all we know, she's been to Europe three times.
Just not by crossing the Atlantic.

We go over the Arctic from here. Much faster.

user116848
7:21 PM
I thought Antarctic was much nicer

It does have penguins.
But it's farther away.

user116848
Teleportation device would be nice.

It would be cool to go there though.
Literally. Hehe.

user116848
Yeah from South America

user116848
I think in 'amazing race' they once made a pit stop there. In Antarctic.

7:26 PM
I'd like to visit Chile and Argentina sometime.

user116848
I am thinking of Brazil now :)

Brazil is too dangerous.

Brazil is nice, travel the small cities in Bahia and have a good time.
I always get sick from the food in Brazil though

user116848
I meant FIFA is going on there. That's why.

@Kit The people, or the giant scary river snakes?

7:29 PM
Both.

user116848
@JohanLarsson Have you visited Brazil?

yes a couple of times

user116848
So cereal ninja is here :)

Sort of.
At least Brazil still has Anderson Silva.

7:31 PM
is he coming back?

And a ton of other nice fighters.
@JohanLarsson I thought he was.

ok, the injury looked nasty and he is not very young

I did a double-take just then. We had a user named Anderson Silva.
@Arrowfar Not cereal! cornbread! Totally different.

@KitFox I posted cereal earlier.

Oh.
Mea culpa.

user116848
7:34 PM
@KitFox Yeah, My bad. Right? :D

@JohanLarsson Dana is interested in having him fight Nick Diaz.

@Arrowfar Yes. But no, my bad.

> Silva is still rehabilitating the leg he broke in the rematch with UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman in December of 2013, but has aggressively rehabbed and is looking for a late 2014 or early 2015 return. White said either of those timelines work for him if they work for the other parties involved.

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 ok, he is boring to watch until he does the most spectacular stuff imaginable :)

@JohanLarsson Anderson or Nick?

7:36 PM
Anderson

have not watched all his fights though

user116848
@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 You yourself know this stuff? I mean MMA stuff.

@Arrowfar To an extent. I have trouble remembering people's weight classes.
I saw some VHS tapes back in the day of the really early ones, like the Royce Gracie/Ken Shamrock days.
My boyfriend is heavily into MMA, and I've been watching them again with him for the past three years.

user116848
Your boyfriend? So you a gal?

7:39 PM
Indeed.

user116848
I see. Avatars can be very misleading sometimes :)

I made that in PowerPoint!

No way!

user116848
I see. Cool though :)

user116848
Kitfox where did you get your avatar?

7:44 PM
I didn't know ppt was good for anything but enabling meeting naps!

user116848
Yeah, Adobe is a good alternative too.

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 Perhaps he would like the Joe Rogan podcasts.

@Robusto He listens religiously to those.
Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night.

All day!

7:49 PM
whooshed me

Aw man, I gotta do some work.
@Robusto He has some Soylent on the way.

@Arrowfar I stole it off the internet.

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 You have to get through 10 minutes of kettle bells and other commercials, but after that the show is pretty good.

@Robusto and LegalZoom.

@JohanLarsson Check out a few of the podcasts. You'll be unwhooshed.

7:51 PM
I've pretty much only heard the one where he gushes about Ronda.

I have listened to a few, he is pretty good

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 I actually prefer when he has comedians on. Like Doug Stanhope, et al.

@Reg I think ger 3 arg 1

@JohanLarsson Seriously? Argentina is bring horses to a tank battle. 5-0.

Vacation this week, been doing different kinds of nothing in sunny weather.

7:57 PM
@JohanLarsson Best kind of nothing to do.

Yay for nothing!

someone's radio has the news tuned in / but nobody cares what he's saying
it's a turn down day / nothing on my mind

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 the morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball

@Robusto I think arg's defense will be effective/brutal in keeping the numbers down

@JohanLarsson They haven't run into the blitzkrieg yet.

8:00 PM
@Robusto TDI

You're a car guy?

nope, just replied to diesel
Think the Le Mans cars are diesels

@JohanLarsson You replied to the wrong guy.

Speaking of:

Oh, you're talking about a remark I made yesterday.

8:01 PM
yesterday, by Robusto
@JohanLarsson Doesn't matter who wins. Nobody's gonna beat the Deutsch Diesel.

@KitFox one should be able to refine starting from nothing. you'd get nothing of course, but that's still a refinement

considering ^ clueless about cars, opinions welcome

@JohanLarsson Whoa, dude, you must be having a great vacation. You are all the way laid back. Mulling over my remarks from yesterday and then springing them on me while I'm playing at least 24 hours ahead.

@Robusto I operate slowly and with many errors

Subarus are great. Drives like a tank.

8:03 PM
you have one?

@aediaλ For that I thank you, Powerpoint.

@JohanLarsson Used to. Two.

How long did you own them? Was corrosion an issue?

Hmm. About a year each. They were hand-me-downs. They were a bit rusty, but nothing more than I would expect from an old car in a state that salts the roads in the wnter.

how old were they?

8:10 PM
I can't remember. Somewhere around 12 years or so.
Both had almost 200K on them.
And they were running fine when I passed them along.

First one went to my ex-boyfriend. Second was a station wagon that went to a recently divorced mother of two. It needed brake work, but was otherwise solid.

@MattЭллен The difference between today and yesterday is the same as the difference between yesterday and last week.
@KitFox Is there a difference between a single parent and a divorced parent?

Yes. Single parent means there's just one.
Divorced implies shared custody and co-parenting.

@KitFox Where one parent is just not there at all.

8:13 PM
Right.

@KitFox or at least financial support.

@KitFox ty ty

@KitFox I don't think I've ever seen any kind of parity ever in co-parenting.
all one or the other. (but still financial support)

That's too bad. I know a few families that make that kind of arrangement work.
Anyway, I am off to hit golf balls. Later, peeps!

Have fun!

8:46 PM
@Mr.ShinyandNew安宇 Not necessarily, just different.

1 hour later…
10:12 PM
@KitFox Oh. Hm. I misunderstood. Then it's diary-effing-collecting, for fuchsia sake

10:31 PM
Hi.

Wat pomp?

mitä?

It is Afrikaans for "what's up?".

ok mitä is Finnish for what
3 hours ago, by Johan Larsson
Vacation this week, been doing different kinds of nothing in sunny weather.

10:37 PM
I suspected as much.

read one book per day and a bit too much sun even if I've been sitting in the shade
and you?

10:58 PM
Hmm where are you?
Vacationing?
I have just come back from Haarlem. We were supposed to play poker.
But we chatted instead.

@Cerberus at home and daytrips

Ah OK.
"Chill", as we would say in Dutch.

11:25 PM
@JohanLarsson I only know one word of Finnish: kiitos.
@JohanLarsson I am not fighting with anyone.

ok good #happyfamily

Let's not get carried away.

Everybody is fighting with me.

let's!
@skullpatrol name one?

I am not fighting with Vladimir Putin, either. Or Messi of Argentina.

11:28 PM
Messi is a classy guy

Mesdames et messi-eurs.

Makes millions and still looks like a plumbing salesman
and he never dives I think

What do you think Bill Gates looks like?

So why is everybody pulling for the world?

11:30 PM
@Robusto hmm, he looked like a geek, dunno if he was styled

Just saying looks don't mean much, unless you're an actor or a model.

44 secs ago, by Robusto
So why is everybody pulling for the world?

@Robusto Because it is the WORLD cup silly :-)

11:33 PM

nice, never heard that one
@Robusto have you seen Sinatra live?

@JohanLarsson No. Not nearly old enough for that.

and you can enjoy Sinatra from age 5 - 95, same with Bob Marley.
he is the male Ellla, so simple, so perfect

I don't disagree.

11:58 PM

I never got 'be yourself', I understand what it means but not how it could ever be helpful.
