also, the upgrade from 8 to 8.1 worked fine on my primary desktop

after the 8.1 update, it now sets both bass and treble in the basic tone controls to max (4). It used to set bass to -12 (min) on win8 o.O

I am facing a problem. My laptop HP G62 recently had its graphic card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470) replaced. After that I am unable to run it at high performance mode. It hibernates showing reason as overheating.

Yesterday I opened it, and cleaned the cooling assembly as well as applied a new thermal paste. still I am facing the same problem. I ran CPUtemp software and monitored the temperature. It shows Tj max as 105 deg C. But It seems to be hibernating at 85 deg C in high performance and 60 deg C in power saver. What could be the reason? Is this question worth asking on super-user?
