Great. So, um, any suggestions on how to get started? I was thinking maybe making an initial blog post to introduce the purpose of the blog, but I don't know what other sites have found to be successful.

@simchona From what I understand, mods will be WP admins, but any user who demonstrates editing skills (which should be easy on this particular site) can become an editor.

A markdown plugin is installed, so you can put markdown into the HTML tab of the editor.

@waiwai -- I just ask because I'd be more interested in editing than writing. You know, get a well-rounded blogging experience

setting up the roles is basically y'alls decision. the main thing we don't want is everybody at admin.

I think having a few editors is good. Some people to help with scheduling, planning posts, etc. These don't have to be the admins.

Shoot for one post per week minimum.

Don't go crazy and try a post everyday.

To help with scheduling and stuff, it might be good to try and have a post or two that aren't time-sensitive in there as drafts to pull out "for a rainy day" when there is a lag in posting.

The other thing sites have done is do a weekly series. Highlighting a question each week, or having some sort of theme.

@RebeccaChernoff The blog has a pipe character "|" in blog post pages, such as this one. Is there any way to get rid of that? It's apparently in a navigation div, but I dunno what that's for, except presumably navigation.

It'll look fine once there are blog posts.
