Q: What pseudonyms / pictographs are appropriate for identifying popular theological personalities?

Peter TurnerPersonally, I am opposed to any form of strangeness on the Internet that makes it a less hospitable and self-idiomatic place. But as a lark, and because this was rolling around in my brain what would be some good "other names" that we could use to identify certain saints, theologians, poets and g...

Q: exclude the moderators and proper less biased peer review

caseyr547Moderators have the ability to remove from the community those the community deems as unwelcome. I do not think they should be allowed to participate the in selection of those deemed as unwelcome as very active members of the community they would be serving as both judge jury and executioner whic...

Just thinking, totally off topic, but it's a bummer that Google called its OS Android. It made it hard to Google anything concerning real android development.

Q: my quality and communication discussion

caseyr547I have 24 posts as best I count with a score of 2 or more and 7 post with a score of -2 or less. Those 7 posts I believe are well researched, represent what our denomination believes and provide a first or different answer to the question than the other answers supplied. If anyone has any specifi...

@PeterTurner The difficulty of searching for content about humanoid robots points out some weaknesses of search engines. Even just recognizing capitalization would help in this case, but more generally being able to distinguish homonyms and even being able to provide more specific context could help. (The earlier Google Scholar allowed specifying academic field which provided a helpful filter in some cases.)

@PaulA.Clayton scholar.google.com/scholar?q=humanoid+robots thanks, that yields a lot of interesting results!
but it's crazy the difference in the results between searching for android and androids

@PeterTurner I dislike a lot of software product names for precisely that reason.
(Also, a friend of mine who's a qualified architect with an interest in restoring old buildings had great difficulty finding a job because there's so many people looking for software architects.)

@TRiG A friend mentioned a candidate for a "storage manager" position (IT) whose experience was in managing a storage facility, so it seems ambiguous titles are not that rare.

@AffableGeek I would like to see something like that arrangement, but I'm not sure how to make it happen. A +3 then a +2 election a month or two in seems like the best arrangement to me, but that is largely up to the SE COMM team.
I think 4 or 5 moderators would be ideal for our current load, but I wouldn't want to see an election with 5 slots at once either.
@AffableGeek True, but part of that problem is temporary. We haven't been functioning at 4 really for a while.

@Caleb I know. Pick me! (I promise to delete absolutely everything on sight, thereby immediately solving all known problems.)

I've been trying to formulate a better description for "truth questions". They're off topic, and of course they should be, but explaining (a) what a "truth question" actually is, and (b) why they're off topic can actually be quite tricky.
Mainly, though, I just strongly dislike the phrase "truth question". It grates, for some reason.
I've not come up with anything yet. When I do, I'll let ye know.
