@M.A.R. and you seem to like sticking your nose in places you don't contribute.
@NickAlexeev uhhuh. Is that why you threatened a ban over the use of blah blah blah a year after it was said? Oh yeah so tough.

@Passerby Uh, I think I'm supposed to feel hurt by that
Also I did help resolve an argument, so I did contribute.

Hello, I would like to ask something, about a question I have posted on EE.SE

Q: How to find replacement for a discontinued thermistor component?

James CI am in need of a thermistor with characteristics, such as those of now discontinued KTY84-130 (link to datasheet). I am after the exceptional linearity it features and also temperature range, up to ~ 250-300 °C. Its low price was also a plus. How do I find out what's a good replacement thermist...

This question has already been put on hold when I first asked it, I believe for same reason as now. But I have then edited it (also with help of kind members on this chat) to be a better fit for electronics.SE - and such it was accepted.
Perhaps I am not stating it clear enough. But in the question I am not asking for a specific product/component. But rather for guidance/method to go about searching for a proper component. And that should be fine for SE.
@DaveTweed (ping on purpose, as "recommended" in description)
Granted, answers and comments are recommending me specific products, but I wasn't asking for them. Can you please help me, again, to format the question properly?

@JamesC I'm not sure what kind of answer you're expecting to receive. You look for all the manufacturers you can find, select the product(s) that meet all of the specific requirements that you identify as important, and then work out which of them is "best" for your application by some metric. It's basically the same process you used when you selected the now-obsolete component.
