@DaveTweed @RoyC We would probably migrate such questions to StackOverflow. So the O.P.'s effort that goes into putting the question together wouldn't be lost, ultimately.
Another class of programming questions that we woud migrate out are pure laguage questions. We've had questiuons along the lines of "How to set up a for loop in C", for example.
