Q: Blackjack optimization in python (Update)

Joseph BeegleA little while back, I made a post on blackjack using object oriented programming. I've begun running simulations under it, it runs fairly quickly but I know there is always improvements to be made. I have a few questions this time around, how would I figure out the runtime complexity of my progr...

Q: R Script to forecast volatility of monthly crude oil prices using GARCH

dovexz12323This is my first time writing a script for volatility forecasting and I am fairly new to econometrics. I chose to analyze monthly WTI crude oil prices of past 20 years and determine volatility as well as do forecasting. I tried to choose fairly simple models (AR1) and GARCH's of (1,0) and (1,1). ...

Q: Generic container wrapper type with a default underlying buffer (2nd rev)

digito_evoThis is a revision of the previous question. I was told to ask an additional question with more context for the modified code to be reviewed. The changes: changed from struct to class (for semantic purposes) and made the member variables private; added a public member function get_container to a...

This approach still has the same problem. Our pipelines enable us to deploy new environments and clone existing environments quickly and flexibly. This greatly improves our productivity and makes our testing more robust. Commits to the codebase on the other hand go through an approval process. If we have to edit our codebase, and thus go through code review, simply to deploy a new environment, then that drastically reduces the efficiency of our devops process. So how can I add configuration to an Environment without having to edit the codebase and hard-code it there? — Neutrino 45 secs ago

As your code works, this question is off topic here. If there is a problem with your code, then please focus your question on that. But otherwise, consider posting on Code Review, but if you do, make sure to first read their guidelines and then revise your question accordingly. — trincot 26 secs ago

It seems you don't have a code problem/malfunction, just an optimization one. Maybe you'll find better help on codereview. Is this the case? — Adriano Mello 53 secs ago

Q: Plotting Collatz conjecture values - Python

LorenzoI am writing a program to display the behavior or certain seeds when you apply the Collatz conjecture algorithm to them. I would like to know what I should change and also if there is a way to see which seed produced a certain plot. I am also having some problems with the color. import matplotlib...

Q: Websocket code that is client client server

yodaWe have a websocket code that connects to third party websocket server. This code is running as multi jvm as part of replicaset in Kubernetes. Is there any way this would not work? One area I see is the static and synchronized. @Component public class ProxyWebSocketInitializer { p...

Thanks, my bad. I will visit CodeReview. — Galaxy just now
It's not appropriate for code review as-is. You cannot have them review 700+ lines of code — roganjosh 23 secs ago

My colleagues pulled a funny on me.
They said I should try Windows 11, it wouldn't differ too much from 10.
Bloody OS changed everything incl. my language settings...

Ah you go the TMB (Trust Me Bro) guarantee

How the heck do you get an OS to speak 2 languages at the same time anyway?

"artificial intelligence" ?

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ I did put a stop to that by not enabling TPM on the BIOS. So I knew it wouldn't upgrade accidentally. But I heard the upgrade option would go away next year and I have some spare time next week to figure things out.

heh

Anyway, as with every OS upgrade, there's always a post from someone telling you how to reverse the look-and-feel of half the damage.
So I'll be reading things like this for a bit... tomshardware.com/how-to/windows-11-look-like-windows-10
Which, you know, I should've been reading before I entered the BIOS...
> The good news is that, with a combination of registry tweaks, third-party apps and some different art work, you can get a lot of the look and feel of Windows 10 back in Windows 11. The bad news is that Microsoft doesn't seem to want you to go back to a previous UI so it may disable any registry hacks you use in future updates.

I'm gunna be honest. I upgraded my gaming pc to Windows 11... and now Microsoft wants me to buy another product key -.-

If all my software could run without Windows...
I've seen the charts and they do not inspire confidence.
Maybe I should uninstall the Dutch language pack to make it shut up.

@Mast I found (with games) if you drink enough the line between gold and bronze is kinda small. But the line between garbage and bronze is always immeasurable.

@Phroggie Yea, this is a professional CAD program.
It going up and down between Silver and Garbage...
Not good.
Screw it, I'm going back to Win10.

6:09 PM
At least they made going back to Win10 a good experience.
