I'm finishing integration, and after that I have to teach probability and statistics

and I hate statistics

so I want to prepare as much of it as possible now

so I don't have to bother with it too much then

after that comes complex numbers, and then differential equations

so at least two fun topics remaining

they're a really cool group, but unfortunately only one is actually somewhat good at maths

the rest doesn't really care about maths

at the high school you can either focus on maths/physics or biology chemisty

they're chemistry/biology people

most of those don't care too much about maths and just hope to not be too bad in it

Okay, I'm tutoring a 3rd year student in electrostatics tomorrow and I've come upon a problem his prof gave him that seems terrible to me. I think it might be a mistake on the part of the prof, because I don't think it is 3rd year appropriate

Here's the rundown of it

two concentric grounded conducting shells, radii a and b, b>a

in between them is a volume charge density given by a function $\rho(r)$

find the potential in all 3 distinct regions of space

The inner and outer spaces are trivial

But the middle space seems too complicated for basic 3rd year. Or am I wrong?
