So if someone is building a wp_query for a category isnt the best practice to build all of that and declare the background with add theme support custom background?
Having said that, there'd be nothing wrong with pointing out it could be / should be done in a plugin, but could also be done in a theme - but I guess I don't quite see why writing a plugin is needed
@MarkKaplun Putting all those styles in the HTML would make it difficult to muck around with them later, eg. media queries for instance, fitting it in with the rest of your theme's styles, etc
If he was adding it to a default theme and not building a child theme wouldnt that be grounds and shouldnt that be in the question. Sorry when i see please tell me best practice i see a lot of detail missing
You know, one thing I always assume on this site is that people are building their own themes (or child theme) because that's what WordPress development means - i.e., not theme hacking. Having said that, we probably don't always make that clear to everyone
But yes, he should have mentioned the theme context and someone should have asked. I didn't think of that
@Darth_Vader That's not necessarily bad. In contrast to Wikipedia, we see different approaches on the same page as a plus. Every question should get at least two answers.
Ah, still learning and reading up on. I understand from videos and tutorials how to call it from a site but im still unsure on the santization and how to maintain the injestion of the content from the api if i start uploading it through a times interval into a CPT.
I know how to call an api and get a json feed every so often in php but several ive talked to suggested to import it with something like wp_insert_post

Hello everyone, Wow, that's one well-hidden chat you've got here. Heard some rumors about there being a chat on StackExchange, but didn't really believe it until now... ;)
The secret words... "The answer to life, the universe and everything is ... 5.2!" The requested items... I've got a real-life action hook lying around here somewhere, does that count?
I've selected a few meaningless tags to kill: writing, blogging, books, fragment. Anyone got a problem with that?
These have 10 entries or so. To prevent clogging the active stream, I'll be doing these in batches, making it difficult to restore the tags afterwards.
:D Anyone know how to remove the mce-toolbar a WP_Editor when TinyMCE Advance is installed?
It's certainly part of the WP_Editor tinyMCE index but I think it might be in the plugins portion of it, but I don't know of a way to separate that out of the plugins string.
Also known as "Editor Menu" on the TinyMCE Advanced screen
