@TomJNowell default, development, unit testing and another one iirc

@kaiser those can be removed

and then maintaining your own fork?

Ive had no issues locally pulling from vvv master with those disabled

9:06 AM
@TomJNowell I understood remove in the first place

I meant I have no fork of vvv

9:19 AM
well, even if you just ignore those other stacks (which I did), it doesn't make it easier to use. it still is a huge stack of bash scripts that is close to impossible to scan through :P

Wow, this is great: puphpet.com

9:37 AM
@bungeshea tell me when you got something working. I tried and tried but didn't succeed.

10:11 AM
@kaiser will do. At the moment my box is downloading, and taking a while
@G.M. Thanks for the recommendation

Hi , If I need to Register/Enqueue a Script for a plugin which uses the Jquery plugin in a Shortcode, should I Register/Enqueue in the plugin file or the functions.php of the theme ? thanks

@spraveenitpro which uses the jQuery functions? The plugin or the theme?

@spraveenitpro you shouldnt have to register jquery, it comes with WP Core, just enqueue it
also, is your shortcode implemented in a plugin or in the theme?
best to keep related things together
Perhaps this should be a question on the main site

11:01 AM
@bungeshea you're welcome

11:58 AM
@kaiser everything is set up and working fine for me at the moment

My problem always is Warning: Could not retrieve fact fqdn

@kaiser on vagrant up?

vagrant provision

no error message for me. Perhaps difference of configurations?
I'm using ubuntu 12 x64
for the vm, that is. Host os is Windows

OS Win7 VM/Box CentOS6

12:17 PM
Oh, I actually do get that warning among all of the output, but the command it not halted and everything works

yeah, same here

So what does not work?

facter it seems
and the other problem is (with nothing installed on the box) that I randomly get "protocol mismatch" notices
> SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_5.3
Protocol mismatch.
and I wonder if I anyhow can grab a wp puppet module and add it to the puphpet stack/online-config

@pietergoosen Just delete the stopwords like "Please [do sth for me]" (appeal), and "Thank you" (salutation) when you are editing - as the last one taught me by @toscho.

@MayeenulIslam Get your point. Never actually thought about it that way.

@PieterGoosen :)

Will definitly remember this when editing posts.

Welcome to Stack Exchange Podcast #57, recorded Friday April 11, 2014 with your hosts Jay Hanlon, David Fullerton, and Joel Spolsky. Today’s podcast is brought to you by the Heartbleed bug.

We have lots to talk about (which makes Joel scared), starting with Community Milestones (after we discuss 2048 strategy, that is)!

Expats is newly in public beta. It’s a site for people that are dealing with the bureaucratic messes involved in living outside your home country. Check out their top-voted questions. Can I lose my US citizenship for accepting employment within a foreign government?  …

7:43 PM
@kaiser I could just drop in here. :)
@kaiser They never accepted your patches?

@MichaelHampton ups. I answered in the wrong room :)

@kaiser That's ok. I haven't worked at all with Nacin. Though it's been quite a while since I've submitted any sort of patch to WP. When I did have to talk to someone it was usually Matt himself

that must been some time back from now. Mr Mullenweg nowadays only attends talk shows and conferences.

@kaiser Yeah, I go way back. WAY back.

:)

I even wrote part of the Akismet plugin. But these days I'm more on the sysadmin side and don't do that much coding.
Oh, here's some fun trivia for you. Back before Akismet was an actual thing, the working code name was Automattic Spam Stopper (ASS).

From coding panic to uptime panic. Good choice!
@MichaelHampton didn't we just talk about 30 stars half an hour ago?

@kaiser Did we? I forgot what happened half an hour ago.

My goldfish has the same problem: "Uh! Glas?" turns around "Uh! Glas?" turns around. He can do that all day long.
:D

are there any decent and sane solutions to removing /blog from multisite
it's insane that you can remove it in the super admin permalink settings, but if you hit save on an individual blog permalinks it resets it the /blog structure..like wtf
that's some seriously wonky shit
.options-permalink-php .submit{display:none;} awesome solution

lol
@MichaelHampton have you seen how far we have come with WP? ^

@kaiser Don't get me started on WP_Query...what a freaking nightmare

that's the "I don't have time or give a shit to look in core and hopefully it doesn't break for the next 5 years" patch
thought I do follow the 4 year old trac ticket for it...

And don't forget the 55 gallon drums of lube.

@MichaelHampton sorry. humor doesn't work in here.

@kaiser Oh, well that's crap. I'm going to have to complain all day about it.
