the mind-and-body theory is the opposite of that, where your mind is your body (your brain)

if a robot can have a mind (consciousness etc.), but cannot function when you can disable certain parts of what makes them emotional, then that would lend more credence to the MB theory and go against dualism

that would lead to even bigger problems, such that since robots "die" with their body, they can't go to metaphysical space like heaven

I don't think there is an important problem to solve about this

robots are literally dual in nature − software and hardware are separate

According to the Tv Tropes page, the explanation for the "fork" and "spoon" is an inside joke from 2chan for "lover" and "friend": Apparently "my fork" and "my spoon" was at some point 2chan slang for "lover" and "friend", respectively. No wonder Kurisu was so pissed with herself. But no s...

aside from the fact that you generally mostly use forks and spoons while eating, knives somewhat less and so both are very often used in pair, there's also the meaning of "spooning" (cuddling) and "forking" (fork in heavy australian accent sounds like fuck)
