I've noticed a few people in the JCore scene do the inverse of what you're thinking and use aliases to produce music in different genres -- so you go "huh USAO and Shandy Kubota are the same person?! The styles are so different!"

Ok I fkn hate Spotify. kors k's profile seems normal. teranoid's is missing a ton of songs (HS5 TR3 TE SBGT) and Eagle's profile seems to be merge with someone else.

@Gao Sorry, not HS X. After HS 13 dropped I made a new playlist for JCore songs. Minamotoya's music is all in the pre-HS 13 playlist :( I just cba to go through 1.4k songs

i mostly use spotify but occasionally use youtube and historically relied mostly on youtube

if there's something in particular i'm hunting down that isn't on either of those i figure out some or another way to torrent it

having very recently started listening to music on my phone instead of just at home i have considered trying to rely less on streaming if for no other reason than to save some cellular data, but haven't gotten around to it yet :P

FWIW you can download songs to not use cellular data with Spotify -- settings page and playlist page (the green down arrow)

i'm pretty sure that's a premium feature :(

i use blockthespot on desktop and desktop is still where i do most of my listening so i just kinda put up with ads and smart shuffle on my phone lol

@Peilonrayz Spotify Freemium and YouTube. I used to use a Chinese music streaming service called Xiami. It had a lot of very obscure Touhou music and a music recognition feature comparable to Shazam, but it was shut down. It was not a fun experience trying to salvage my playlist track titles from the smartphone app cache using OCR software...
