I applied for UK visa 3 weeks back and today I collected my documents. My application has been refused with following reason:
You state that the cost to you personally is 500 (GBP) and that you are employed as xxx and receive a monthly income of yyyy. As
evidence of your funds you have ...
@phoog I'm going to accept your answer but, before I do, educate me: can it still be upvoted afterwards, and is there a way I can award k2moo4 a bounty on his?
@JonathanReez a certain @ZachLipton suggested that the canonical did not cover irregular payments into someone's account. But canonically you would be able to spot that the refusals was predictable from the outset and is canonically addressed in that way by the caoninical. On balance however, we need to be a whole lot more aggressive in marking duplicates in favour of the existing material and let THEM explain how their situation is different.
Also, the OP did not load a scan and we have no way of knowing what he did not disclose. He has, it seems, a penchant for opacity here there and everywhere...
@Dorothy of course an accepted answer can be up voted. It's called 'passive rep'. You can accept @phoog as a very well-written FGITW and award a bounty to the others. I will bounty it after you do if that's permissible. But mine will be an open bounty
@JonathanReez please confirm that you spotted the refusal was predictable
@phoog while I'm here, have you been able to appreciate the metaphor in the term 'funds parking'?
@Dorothy Dorothy, stop being silly. The setting and awarding of a bounty is straight-forward enough once your question becomes eligible. Questions need to bake for a while before the flour rises :)
Next time they will be on show will be 24th of June in Rotterdam, although that is an informal meeting, just a few hours of sitting together, chatting and knotting.
