Yes, @MarkMayo won.

@AnkurBanerjee Thanks for your message, sorry for reacting so bluntly (need to watch that…)

9:36 AM
@Ivan Let me know about the Embrera colonies. :)

10:02 AM
Hi @JoErNanO, finally we didn't visit the Embera communities. We talked with some people in Panama and they said that these communities are very "turistized". In the past they where real communities moved from the Darien area, but now, due its proximity to Panama City they have becomed in a kind of touristic attraction and that isn't what we were looking for. In a future trip, we will visit the embera in the Darien area.

Thanks for the feedback. Just wanted to make sure I didn't send you wandering around the rainforest. :D

@MarkMayo I suspected as much, which is why I wrote “technically“.
It's still inaccurate though, you could perhaps edit your answer

No option to test it @JoErNanO :)

1:40 PM
@RoflcoptrException how do you get to see the previous link to somebody's reply if it's off the top of the page?

1:51 PM
@GayotFow What do you mean?

2:08 PM
@JoErNanO When somebody replies directly to another person (like this one)... And if, like me, you are a nosy sod who wants to see what they replied to. The mouse hover will light it up, but if it's on a previous page, then what?

@GayotFow I had no idea you could actually track replies. :D

2:22 PM
@JoErNanO Hover your mouse over a reply and you will see it light up
But if it was several hours ago, then what?

@GayotFow This should work.
See the inverted "enter" arrow symbol there?
before the @ part
Click on that and it should highlight the post is is referring to.

Excellent! Many thanks

And it should take you there.
You achieve this by clicking manually on "reply to this message".
So that it adds a :someID tag before the message itself.

Got it, I missed the arrow thingie

Just discovered this.
Way too tedious to manually go click on people's messages.
@GayotFow Testing this!

2:26 PM
@JoErNanO tested it, it works!

That last message is 23h old. Should be old enough to satisfy your curiosity, right? :P

And btw, I am going head-to-head with you for best image. I hope you do not mind

Hey I thought the competition didn't cover questions!
:D

:) I know...
It's Rome's birthday today
If I learn why so many cars are white......
I will add a happy birthday to Rome pic

Why so many cars are white where?
They're probably just taxis. :D
Ach I did not see the question.

2:40 PM
I have two emails in for asking the question
People probably think, "What an off-the-wall question" to ask by email

Which question? The exit check one?

The white car one maybe?

@Gala @Relaxed That one wasn't asked by @GayotFow though.
Or maybe I'm missing something.

@JoErNanO No, the one about white cars...
I sent to "I (heart) Italy" and one other similar place

Ok I'm definitely missing something. What are we talking about here? :D

2:50 PM
@JoErNanO Yes, but @GayotFow frequently goes the extra mile and activates his network to answer other people's questions ;-)

Aaaaah I understood it as @GayotFow received two emails to ask the question. Instead he means that he sent out two emails to answers it.
Damn that was hard. :D

No, technically, I think he sent an unspecified number of emails and receive two answers commenting about his asking instead of answering the question itself
It seems we are starting to over-think this, though

3:13 PM
Ah. Even better. :D

3:25 PM
@Gala For the question about why so many white cars in Rome, I sent two emails to the Italian government tourist agency. If they answer, then I am WELL POSITIONED to give an informed answer. If they do not answer, then I may chase them, or may let it go.

3:38 PM
oh shorts! it's going to get closed :(

It probably is.
But for the wrong reasons imho.
@pnuts I agree the question is travel-related.
I don't think it can be answered objectively.
First of all: is it true that there are more white cars than any other colour in Rome?

How can a question about Rome be off topic?
And close voted by one of my enemies too :(

4:00 PM
Since when do you have enemies?

since a long time. :)

Is it worth it?

@JoErNanO It is 10 years ago, so no real reports left I guess, but these silent rooms are awesome
@Relaxed You missed that opportunity? That is too bad :)

4:57 PM
@GayotFow I don't really understand your question. Can you reformulate it?
Ah I see, seems to be resolved :)

Q: UK Visa - Church marriage ceritificate

JosephI am having my wife name endorsed in passport and my name in wife passport. We are having marriage certificate from church. Can we apply the ICT short term staff partner with that. I am currently in UK. Thanks, Joseph

already xposted on expats

7:59 PM
@Relaxed Nah I can see why it would be annoying. I'll watch out more closely to the flags next time!

1 hour later…

So many crap questions and answers today I can't use up all my votes :( Every non-crrap question and non-crap answer and still left with votes.

10:01 PM
@GayotFow I deleted the question since he has asked the same question on Expats
