@MarkMayo are we still on the same page?

@JoErNanO I don't follow assumption number 3, isn't the minimum height above sea in Ethiopia level -125?
Sure there are highlands... but not only
Also... what about the mountains in Eritrea?

@Relaxed Technically -125m is not above sea level. I didn't know how to phrase the fact that on average Ethiopia is 2000m above sea level.
@Relaxed The mountains in Eritrea aren't in Ethiopia. Or did you mean the mountains on the border? Are there any mountains on the border?

10:23 AM
The point (I beleieve) is that Eritrean mountains may well obscure the line of sight to the sea

@JoErNanO I mean they obscure the view…
And then 0 instead of -125 if you will
I was also kind of taken aback by the phrase you choose but the point is that you can't assume any point in Ethiopia is around 2000m ;)
Most of the Ethiopian highlands might be around that height, but the point nearest to the Red Sea is under the sea with a 1500+ mountain in between, I am pretty sure you can't see anything from there
Or if you see the Red Sea, you're really in trouble…

travel.stackexchange.com/q/67745/2509 This question reminds me how my father booked a hotel but did not print the confirmation page, did not receive an e-mail, and forgot the name of the hotel.

@GayotFow I don't think we need passing of drafts or anything, that's way too formal an effort for a website which we can edit :) I'll save it for June, then ask as one of the new interesting questions

2:41 PM
@MarkMayo That's fine, but I can upload the markdown here and then not do drafts after that if that's of any use

@gerrit nightmares like that are why I use tripit

2 hours later…
6:39 PM
@GayotFow You really don't need to upload anything anywhere, warn people here that you are going to post something or anything like that
You can just post questions and answers directly on the site, everything can still be discussed and edited afterwards…

@Relaxed i wanted to change my name, i think i have evolved to a homo sapien. but the problem this name is hard to manipulate. Hom Osap Ien? does not sound good.
