@JoErNanO I did 3 bounties worth 350 last week, and none of them were answered! I need some commitment before I go wasting them again ;)
@HeidelBerGensis I used Ecela in Mendoza, Argentina, they're thoughout South America, if they have a European wing or share an alliance with another school, they were great. 4 hours a day + homework, I only did two weeks but it was really good.
If I had time and money, I'd have loved to have stayed for a few months.

@hippietrail If you don't know what you are doing when you made the change originally, why do you need to know what you are doing to change it back? Deciding that you suddenly need explanations for something midstream is an indication that your best policy might be to stay out of things you don't know about in the first place.

you want to play a game? tiring but OK
@GayotFow: if you don't know how to explain your reasoning why should we just trust you when you demand trust? deciding that you suddenly have impunity to dictate how things must be without reason is an indication that our best policy might be not to trust you in the first place.
now if you don't want to play games, you'll see that i did know what i was doing and i explained exactly what i did. seems reasonable for all contributors here i would think.

@HeidelBerGensis the Cervantes institute is the Spanish equivalent of the German Goethe institute. They both are language-specific cultural centres which aim at spreading the culture around the world.
They are definitely more expensive than other courses. I like to think that you pay more because you get certified and qualified mother tongue instructors.
@MarkMayo I know. I answered one of those and you let the grace period kick in. :P
The others are unanswerable without actually going there and seeing for oneself. The Japanese kiosk one in particular.

@hippietrail There's really no game involved here. If I screw something up, I can be trusted to fix it. You apparently cannot. If I get in over my head, I can be trusted to recognize the value of advice from others, you apparently cannot. Trying to shift accountability to the community is cop-out. Once again, if you cannot take accountability, don't screw it up in the first place.

Rubbish. You're playing the "start every sentence based on a false premise keyed on the word 'if'". If you can't use StackExchange in a civilized manner then you can't be trusted. And apparently you cannot. I can explain my reasoning. You apparently cannot. Once again, if you cannot earn trust in the usual way, don't go around asserting it in the first place.

wow, that troplet site
just a live feed of SE
with a copyright (all rights reserved) notice at the bottom...
@MarkMayo @JoErNanO we can report them to SE
go to meta.stackexchange.com/contact and one of the options is "SE content being reproduced with attribution.

@CMaster Thanks. Done.

I presume SE then bust out the lawyers or something
It's interesting to see that they have a DMCA policy link at the bottom

:D

@hippietrail This does not change the situation. You screwed it up and now try to defend it by insisting that I cannot be trusted. If you must revert to a childish defence, don't screw it up in the first place. And by the way, I am a trusted user and have earned the right to call myself that. Disparaging me in that way is cihldish.

@GayotFow: Well since you refuse to tell us in which way anything is screwed up since you started disparaging me we can see who is childish. I merely played along with the childish game you initiated. But that's enough fun for me.

@hippietrail I have explained it, you didn't get it. In a similar vein you put forward the nonsense/fabrication that you had community support. The statement remains, if you can't back out of what you screwed up, don't do it in the first place.

A meta question for all about screwing up visa tags and explaining and whatever:

Q: Merge the "UK visit visas", or all the more specific visa tags, back into the master "visa" tag?

hippietrailAnyone who's been watching the games will have noticed some silliness in the chat room about whether uk-visit-visas should exist or whether to merge the tag back into the plain visas tag as a synonym. Some time ago I made the more specific tag because I saw the specific wording used as though it...

@hippietrail This is an open admission of your inability to put things forward in an objective way. Please edit your question to focus on the issues. Or grow up. Or whatever.

@GayotFow I don't quite understand the notice at the end of this refusal notice

Q: UK refused visa for partner, possible ban

DazWe applied for a visit visa for my partner, soon to be my fiancee once my divorce is finalized. I am a UK citizen and my partner is Thai. We have been together for 13 months and have physically spent 8.5 months in each others company, not just long distance over the Internet. We made the applicat...

it seems to imply that re applying will result in a fixed-term ban
but that the ban term won't start until the reapplication is made
hmm no, last paragraph disagrees
still, it seems odd to say that "applying again might lead to a ban" - surely that means you are banned now to all intents and purposes?

12:28 PM
@CMaster I didn't see this question! Wow.
@CMaster yes that's a full on ban
That person is f**ked for 10 years
@CMaster I suggest that you add an answer ASAP. If you need help, you can ping me here.
