@cardinal Regarding a today's question that has been cross-posted to math.SE and eventually deleted by owner in CV ("Exchanging max and expectation"), could you perhaps have a look at the answer provided in math.SE? Something does not seem right (or at least not clear) in the second part of the answer, but I cannot pin-point it. And I may be mistaken of course.
