@closetnoc Seems more like a WYSIWYG IDE, does it aid in organizing and managing blogs too? Be careful with that XP box, it's a huge target without security updates being released anymore (there's a registry hack to still receive them from MS, but they're mainly for POS systems that use XP). The DIY route is always tempting, but usually very time-consuming too...let me know what you settle on.

@dan Wysiwyg Web Builder does do a blog style web site. Generally, this thing does not allow access to the HTML code, it is for those who are familiar with HTML but do not always want to deal with code to create a site. It is more than I want, however, it would do the job. I like Thingamablog and simply wish it was updated a little bit. It's a shame really. It and GreyMatter are dead simple and would do most or all of what I want if they had been maintained.

@dan BTW- My XP is well protected behind a firewall and double NAT'ed with a protocol gap. ;-) Short of the web browser, nothing gets through. I would consider an update, however, this thing is getting old enough to consider retiring. I have Mom's old laptop, about 2 years old or so and I could just update that and reinstall everything - PItA of course. The laptop is much bigger than I like. I like small. But any port in the storm might be a relief.
