Making up sentences always feels so dangerous. I feel like I always make some stupid error.

I'm totally with you on that

I'm always worried that I use a word or expression in an unnatural way that makes the sentence sound awkward

I should go write a lang-8 entry.

I never quite know what to put on there though.

I'm amused that one corrector said they particularly liked my usage of 言わざるを得ません, while the other one removed it because they thought it was too かたい. Haha.

its use would be novel but definitely not colloquial!

I like making use of all those esoteric expressions

it makes all the studying I did for N1 feel more useful

I passed N1 on my first try, and that was at a time when my level was much lower than it is now, so I think you will be fine

the only thing that I really had to focus on was pacing myself on the reading section and not spending too much time trying to check individual questions

but I think if I were to take the test again now I'd be able to retain a lot more and not have to spend as much time worrying about it

are you confident about the listening section?

the one that gave me trouble on that was the one where you have to choose the response to something someone says

oh, I spent a little while going over an 英検 practice test with one of my friends in some down time earlier

examining what each of the incorrect answers would be if they were actually said

had to stifle laughter there too

I just noticed that sometimes instead of "confused about" I say "confused on"

is this a common thing or a relic of my dialect, I wonder

it feels slightly weird to me
