Q: Why were these questions merged?

RainboltThis question asks, "What cards are pauper legal in paper but not MTGO? This question asks, "What cards are pauper legal in MTGO but not paper?" The former was merged with the second, with a comment that they are exact duplicates. They are not exact duplicates, by any reasonable definition of t...

Definitely think the question should be edited to address both issues.

I don't, but that wasn't really the point of my meta post
I could see actually merging them, or not merging them
The mod did neither of those things
He "Merged" them, but left the target alone and didn't actually bring the question over
If you merge them, don't you just end up with two separate questions, answered by two separate lists, all smashed together in one thread?

The question should be editted to ask "What are the differences in cards legal in paper pauper vs MTGO pauper." which yes, would result in two lists, however it would make it easier to compare the two having them in the same answer, than having them on entirely two different questions.
But yeah, I agree the mod did it poorly.

Ah, I see. That's actually a good way to ask for two lists without asking two questions
That said, Joe Golton wanted to ask them separately. He should be allowed to.

Perhaps, it's also perhaps possible that he couldn't think of how to word them to combine both elegantly. Regardless, combining both I think would be more efficient for future searchers for the answers

That should be a suggestion to Joe, not a force merge.
I made a suggestion to Joe that he ask for a process rather than a list
I didn't impose my suggestion on his question, but I guess one could argue that since I am not a moderator, my opinions don't mean as much.

Again, perhaps, depends on whether we prioritize the asker's desires or longevity.

But yeah, I agree a process would be ideal, so that it won't have to be updated ever.
What was his response to your request out of curiosity, if he gave one?
*suggestion, not request

None as of yet. Only another user, who seems to think that it would actually be less useful than the current form of the question

Probably due to lack of foresight.

He has the foresight. He used a strawman to defeat my suggestion. "Here's the worst answer I can think of. Your idea won't be useful."
But I said my piece on the comments, so I'm going to not respond to it on main.

Lmao I used the word cast in a Catan answer
Whoops

Tis okay, I use the term 'stack' all the time in not MTG, although that is also probably due to my coding background XD

It is a nice English word

True, better than queue in my opinion.

They have queues at roller coaster parks
I feel like that is a nice English word as well

Most people just call them lines though at amusement parks.
My issue with it is its homophones are spelt so differently, and the pronunciation for queue isn't obvious. For example, I like the word Cue, but not Queue.

"KYOO WEH"
This guy wrote a better answer than me and then accepted my answer lol
Now I'm unable to delete, so if I get downvotes I can't do anything about it
To make things worse, I added my answer to his so that his answer clearly has everything that mine has plus more.

Which question?
