Q: Double Revival: Techiyat HaMeitim!

Double AAIt seems this question has produced two revival badges: one for Menachem and one for Alex. I didn't think that was possible.

@msh210 Perhaps it constitutes Jewish Living? But either way, why don't you just add a line or two and make it kosher lemehadrin?

Question: What do Stack Overflow, Super User, and Server Fault have in common that most of the sites on our network don’t?

Answer: A unique brand.

It’s no coincidence that our three largest sites happen to have their own brands. Unique domain names are more memorable than the subdomains that cover most of our network, which we believe is part of the reason why those sites are so successful. Gaming.stackexchange.com has been growing on its own for a while now: the community is extremely active and it has some of the best traffic statistics of any of the non-trilogy sites. The site has gotten a lo …

@msh210 Ok can you explain what happened with that flag? I had never seen a flag in the mod tools for non mods before. Now it says it was disputed? I'm confused.

@DoubleAA What flag are you talking about?

@msh210 Can you see this page? judaism.stackexchange.com/users/flag-summary/759 The most recent flag.

@DoubleAA re "I had never seen a flag in the mod tools for non mods before" see judaism.stackexchange.com/tools?tab=flags
@DoubleAA yes I can
@DoubleAA what did you attempt to do there?

@msh210 I don't see anything there now. Nor have I ever seen anything there except this one time.
@msh210 There was a flag that said there were 20 comments on that question. So I clicked on it and said to dismiss because it wasn't a problem as far as I could see.
Did one of you dispute that decision somehow?

@DoubleAA no, but sometimes there are flags there

9:28 PM
@msh210 I must usually miss them.

@DoubleAA I would think that that would simply dismiss the flag. Weird.

@msh210 Perhaps it was one of the other mods.

@DoubleAA I got rid of Community's more-than-20-comments flag, i think as "helpful" though I don't recall now. If I simultaneously dismissed yours as unhelpful (whatever the temrinology is) then I apologize, it was an accident. Don't worry about it, thoguh, you don't gain much from having your flags marked helpful, nor lose much from having them marked unhelpful

@msh210 Not worried. Just wondering.
@msh210 In the future I should mark helpful or whatever-positive?

9:45 PM
@DoubleAA I don't know. I'd think mark is as unhelpful if a mod needn't see it and don't mark it at all if a mod shoudl see it (i.e. should see it to weed out comments). That's what it'd think -- but aparently marking it as unhelpful doesn't get rid of it, so I'm not sure what the point is. Lemme ask someone

10:00 PM
@DoubleAA Okay. So: Apparently your marking Community's more-than-2-comments flag as unhelpful (or whatever) disputed Community's flag and counts as a flag that you yourself raised. (That's the one you see there.) The reason your flag says 'disputed' is (so they tell me) because it's a disputing-a-flag flag: all such are marked disputed because they are disputed by the user (in this case Community) who raised the original flag. :-) However, [cont'd]
[cont'd] if you're concerned about your helpful/unhelpful count, you might not need to be: when there was 'flag weight' (predecessor of the helpful/unhelpful count), disputing-a-flag flags didn't count toward it. I don't know whether the same is true now of helpful/unhelpful counts (and you can ask on Meta or MSO, or there may even be somethign on MSO about it already).
...Though anyway you shouldn't be too concerned about helpful/unhelpful count.
@DoubleAA And no matter how you mark it, a mod sees it, so I'm still not sure what the point is.
