If a bounty expires but the "best" answer hasn't been chosen, I know that half of the bounty is automatically awarded. Is it possible to then select one of the answers and award the other half? If not, what becomes of the unawarded points?
We've been tagging all questions about the avos (the patriarchs, viz Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob of Genesis) with avot-patriarch-fathers. @DoubleAA I guess. I wouldn't have thought it would be so resource intensive. I suppose badges that are dependent on multiple posts would need to be queried; as opposed to single-post badges, where each post could keep a counter.
