What is the status of prosthetic limbs in halacha? For example would a prothetic hand require netilas yadayim? Is there a difference depending on what material it is made out of?

@HodofHod They seem of similar breadth to me. Would the prosthetic one be more focused if it just asked if a prosthesis counts as part of one's body? That sounds more general but might actually be better than bringing up netilat yadayim in the question.
