Q: Is the idea of the Neshama mentioned anywhere in the written Torah?

DonCorleoneThe word Neshama is used a lot in the Orthodox community and there are a lot of things said about what happens with the Neshama before the person is born and after he dies. Is the Neshama as we know it mentioned in the Torah?

This was closed as too broad and then edited. I don't think it's too broad any more, but since it's closed rather than just on hold, I don't think the edits sent it to the review queue.
