@Yishai, is the email address you list on your blog a valid one?

@TheOne Just curious, but why wouldn't it be?

3:21 PM
@bigfoot.com ...
my filter blocked it.

@TheOne Yes
@TheOne Odd (or not) but it just forwards to my Gmail. If I answer, you get to find out my full name ;-). Not that people haven't figured it out already, I'm not exactly being secretive.

@Yishai, is that your own domain or are you using some sort of email forwarding service?

@TheOne Bigfoot.com is a web-ancient email-forwarding service

I would have googled, but my internet filter blocks it...
perhaps should've checked wikipedia or the like instead of being lazy.

Interesting: It seems that on Health, they are developing a practice of deleting answers for being unsupported/misleading. This is significantly stricter than current practice here, which is basically only to delete answers that don't address the question.

@IsaacMoses I think that we should certainly stay somewhat more lenient, but I'm not sure that deleting blatantly misleading answers would be bad, considering that some people will use this site for p'sak, despite the warning to the contrary.
Is it better to split Ya'aleh v'yavo into two pages at the word ביום, or to jump to the next page to begin it?

@NoachmiFrankfurt Depends on what else is going on on the affected pages, I'd expect.

@IsaacMoses the previous page is רצה, so the next will include its berachah and Modim

8:57 PM
@NoachmiFrankfurt Commentaries? Other whitespace? Is YV"Y in the middle of Retzei or in a footnote?

9:11 PM
@NoachmiFrankfurt If you do split before it, put it with the following text: "ביום חג המצות הזה / ביום חג הסוכות הזה / ביום ראש החודש הזה"
@mods What happened to the weekly parsha events? They've been AWOL for a few weeks already.

9:30 PM
@IsaacMoses I think that will lead to some very unfortunate results there. But I think something like @MonicaCellio's issue with the Hermeneutics site is at work here - the people making this decision are very inclined to think the scientific position as they understand it is "obviously" right that to allow another opinion could get someone hurt.

9:52 PM
@Scimonster following text in terms of in yv"y, not the post

@IsaacMoses it would be other whitespace, I'll see if I can upload a screencap
