@GeminiMan thanks, and done. BTW, there is a 15-character minimum on the title of a community event, hence "Pesach (Passover)". Suggestions for better ways to get from "Pesach" to a valid entry are most welcome.

@MonicaCellio Looks good to me: I don't mind the duplication of the name. If you do, I believe @DoubleAA occasionally puts some invisible characters in to minimum-length fields: the zero-width joiner or some such.

There are two answers so far disputing the premise, saying that you don't owe sales tax so it's fine. Are you asking about NY (and if that tax doesn't apply, all well and good), or about a case where sales tax is due and you didn't pay it? And you're asking about the halacha, not secular law, right? — Monica Cellio ♦ 1 min ago
^^^ on the question about sales tax and the sale of chameitz. Am I concerned over nothing? The answers seem to be going in the direction of discussing the secular law rather than the halacha.

@MonicaCellio דינא דמלכותא דינא

@GeminiMan sure, but is the question about New York or about a case where sales tax is owed? And we aren't in a position to answer about secular law anyway -- if we don't pasken halacha, how much the more so do we not "pasken" civil law!
So my question to the OP was "is this about NY or about sales tax?", but I wanted to get other eyes on it too. Maybe, as I said, it's nothing. Thanks for your comment.

YEZ
@MonicaCellio I had the same concern, before seeing your above comment

@YEZ thanks for adding that comment.

@MonicaCellio I would be comfortable editing the question to make the intent of the question clear, but I'm a loose-cannon when it comes to editing.

7:38 PM
@YEZ once the intent is clear then somebody should edit, but I think we need the OP to clarify. And I've seen way looser cannons than you. :-)

YEZ
@MonicaCellio Ya, the spammers are much looser than I in interpreting intent of questions.

@YEZ they're pretty loose with answers, too, as Hod can attest. :-)

judaism.stackexchange.com/users/4794/yez?tab=activity - I've apparently done 160 revisions. How come I didn't get the badge for 80 edits?

@YEZ were some of them retags? Those don't count for edit badges.

YEZ
@MonicaCellio Yes, lot's of 'em. Ok then.

@MonicaCellio There should be a badge for retagging

@YEZ Revisions to posts you own also don't count.
@GeminiMan That doesn't mean any question of US law is on topic.

@YEZ I agree. Tag maintenance is usually a thankless task -- so let me say "thank you!".

Shalom happen to be in here?
@Shalom You wrote in a post:
"There are almost always halachic issues with harvesting sperm (which raises the halachic problems -- I can see no reason donating to the bank beyond that should be problematic), yet I've read of sperm banks in Israel where rabbis have allowed it. CYLOR."
Do you know who these Rabbi's are?
