@Yez I can't tell for sure, but the answer you commented on could be saying that the obligation to bury trumps the other factors. That he can't bury it right now doesn't mean he'll never be able to -- for all he knows somebody is going to come and unlock the door in a few hours.

@MonicaCellio I suppose it should be the burden of the answerer at that point to show that wishful hoping will affect the halacha.

@Yez yeah, the answer isn't complete IMO. But it seems consistent with the intent of the question, so I don't know about editing in a way that would invalidate it.

@MonicaCellio If his assumptions are correct, I don't think I could edit in such a way that would invalidate it. Editing would just serve to highlight that the assumptions are unfounded.

I don't know why that answer is garnering upvotes. It's at best pathetically undersourced.
