@IsaacMoses Thank you for the link to the Al HaTorah website. I really like their showcasing of conflicting opinions of some tough biblical passages. For example, they have a comprehensive list of approaches to understanding the "blood bridegroom"incident, the first two verses of Bereshit, how "hardening the heart" can co-exist with free will. Great stuff.

On the plus side, a (different) high-rep Yodeyan is, if I'm not mistaken, marrying ~today. Mazal tov! The couple should a long, happy marriage filled with good deeds and good health.
