I'll be honest, my mind is kind of blown by the fact that Dennis is getting tenure. I'm in high school, tenure is like at least 10 levels of awesomeness above my current station. I can't even imagine what he has to do for that.
@DestructibleWatermelon I meant, from the point of view of the shopkeeper, you may be a robber pretending to be blind, better safe than sorry. (also if you can pay for the damage, he can serve himself on your corpse just as well.)
@DestructibleWatermelon nope, he was in bad shape, aggroed a chicken (something something stupid chicken boot), the chicken did 3 20 in a row, the chicken killed him.
Nat 20s give the power to: clear 10 foot long gaps in a single jump, accuratly shoot a small humanoid at 300 feet with a crossow, instantly win any argument/make an enemy a friend, and spot the spider-silk trigger of a trap in complete darkness.
Oh, in 3e, if you roll 3 20s in a row on your attack roll, you automatically kill your target. No save, no contested check, no damage reduction, nothing.
The only thing that could save you is the 'crit-immune' status, which wasn't really granted to many things short of gods and the like.
You get to make death saves no matter how brutaly you were killed, and the worst thing that can happen to you while bleeding out it you fail one death save.
> The Tourist is one of the roles in NetHack. Since the Tourist has low starting stats and can only reach Expert in three weapons, running a Tourist is quite the challenge.
