I still struggle with my understanding of what can be seen as spam on ask-different
on any other site I would flag this:
http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/84902/55266
http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/73908/55266
Could someone explain to me, if it is not considered as spam here, why?

@bummi who said it's not spam? I think it is. Flagged and deleted.

@IanC. thank you

One comment might have been enough… :/
@Gigili Should be—it says you can use your own cable, so even though it says Lightning, I don't see why it shouldn't work with a 30-pin.

I'm trying to be more helpful on this site so I started looking at the review queue more often. I've had two of my flags disputed. What does that mean and is there anything I should do about it?

@Mark Thanks for the help mark. I can have a look and make a private chat room if you wish.
Also - on an unrelated note, does anyone see a way to save this question from itself?

Q: $400 for 16 GB of RAM?

iconoclastI'm a big Apple fan, but hesitant about their RAM pricing practices. I would have purchased a new Mac Mini by now, but literally half the price is memory if I configure it to have the maximum RAM possible (which is far too little anyway, as far as I'm concerned!): http://store.apple.com/us/buy-...

It's either "Why does Apple do X" with X being pricing for bulk units or it's "let's discuss how we feel about X"
I see two flags that were declined. One in January and one yesterday.
They were NAA flags - not an answer. Those are easily the flags I decline most often. Before I even look at the posts you flagged, NAA is often used when an edit or a comment is the proper course. If someone is bringing thought/analysis or even a wrong answer to a question - it's not something NAA - even wrong answers aren't deleted when flagged.
In almost all cases, NAA flags could be resolved with a comment or an edit and the flags reserved for things that truly cannot be even close to being construed an answer.
Voting takes care of unhelpful / wrong answers - not flagging for deletion.
With that done - I'll have a look at the content that was flagged and let you know if I see something different than the "common" case.
For this flag - I was the decliner. It was an answer as I saw it, but it did need an edit. I would likely have approved a low quality flag - flagging it was helpful in that it got my attention to edit it.

Ali S.For me, I don't remember turning Hiding On, but I must have done it inadvertently. When I tried toggling it off, it fixes this problem.

The recent "decline" seems odd. I approved the deletion as it was truly not an answer. You did good work there. I'll ping the higher ups to see why your flag was marked as disputed / declined.
@Mark I messed up handling this review which is why you got dinged.
I apologize. Ping me if it affects your review abilities. You've got a really good ratio of approvals, so I hope it doesn't get in the way of any badges.

@bmike Thanks for taking a look at it. I was just wondering if I did anything wrong or if there was I fine distinction that I missed.
I don't actually remember what I flagged and when I click on the link I don't see what I might have done.
I don't think that this is hurting me I just wanted to know how to prevent it in the future.
@bmike I've been following the advice from your recent meta post about NAA flags. I've been voting down and editing more questions since I read that, but I still see quite a few answers that, IMHO, are truly not answers.
