caskroom.io -- I don't know if you folks know that there's a Homebrew extension for installing .app based stuff, but there is. You can script up a bootstrap of your machine and your favourite apps pretty easily with this.
@Rob I hate those broad, wiki questions. They end up producing a slew of mostly useless answers. They're a poor fit for the SE Q&A format. I make no secret of being one of the few here who are very much against them so see my opinions as the extreme.
@mehmenmike when you add an image there's an option to do it from your computer or the web. Make "From My Computer" is select and then click the "Choose File" button to locate the file on your machine.
