@TheDestroyer - it says shree krishna asked sandipani , about the glory of "Mahankaleshwar" then sandipani with his disciples reached there and offered bilva patra and recited 1000 names of Mahankaleshwar.

@TheDestroyer - i think kalabharava is shiva or rudra itself , with local form , like "Kalrudra" has changed into kalabhrava IMO, and then got accepted in saguna form , as Gramdeivata in popular village culture

I do not know how the story of Rama killing Ravana on Vijaya Dashami and returning on Deepawali spreaded. If we go through Valmiki Ramayana. It doesn't gives precise information on Ravana killing and Returning gap days. Furthermore it is not possible that Rama killed Ravana on Vijaya Dashami an...

@ChinmaySarupria I think Valmiki Ramayana doesn't gives that information... It talks only about Nakshtras in few places... although I haven't read it in ValmikiRamayana....
