@Tezz Do you follow Vikram Samvat or Shaka Samvat?

Aaso is the last month of the Gujarati calendar, and Kartik the first. @TheDestroyer - I think Adi shankaracharya has written "kalabharvastakam" and yes i like that also good music and pace :)
@Tezz - Hiii 😊 :-)
@TheDestroyer - kalabhirav is "Gramadeivata" for many cities And villages

@SwiftPushkar this is Maha Kalabhairvam not Kala Bhairava astakam.
@SwiftPushkar Adi Shankara wrote kalabharvastakam but i don't know Maha Kalabhairavam

@TheDestroyer - oh ok , i thought that is same , ok will look for that:) haven't checked the link :)

8:21 AM
@SwiftPushkar did you watch above video? It is awesome..
ok.

@TheDestroyer - no actually , will see now
@TheDestroyer - ya its different , i think its related to "Tantra" part :)

@SwiftPushkar but it's more about Shiva than Kala bhairava though both are one..
@SwiftPushkar He is praised as "Kshetrapala"

@TheDestroyer - one site says its related to "Mahakaleshwar" shree krishna and rushi sandipani , the site is in hindi

@SwiftPushkar ohh..
@SwiftPushkar that is not the sloka.. it starts with Yam Yam yam yaksha roopam...

यं यं यं यक्षरूपं दशदिशिविदितं भूमिकम्पायमानं
सं सं संहारमूर्तिं शिरमुकुटजटा शेखरंचन्द्रबिम्बम् ।

@TheDestroyer - it says shree krishna asked sandipani , about the glory of "Mahankaleshwar" then sandipani with his disciples reached there and offered bilva patra and recited 1000 names of Mahankaleshwar.

8:36 AM
@SwiftPushkar ok..

@TheDestroyer - yes these are not the shlokas but , these are ref.to that story of krishna and sandipani :)
@TheDestroyer - the actual 1000 names or that stotra is not there , thats your above one

@SwiftPushkar ok.
:)

@TheDestroyer - is "deshikam" a surname? Like we have here similar looking surname "Dikshit"

don't know but Dikshitar and Dikshit are same.

@TheDestroyer - but the above stotra not have 1000 names , that site might be referring to something else , wht u think ?

9:16 AM
@SwiftPushkar i think this story is mentioned in Skanda Purana.. not sure.
@SwiftPushkar i think they are different

@TheDestroyer - oh ok :)
@TheDestroyer - i think kalabharava is shiva or rudra itself , with local form , like "Kalrudra" has changed into kalabhrava IMO, and then got accepted in saguna form , as Gramdeivata in popular village culture

9:46 AM
@SwiftPushkar Shiva created Kalabhairava for the first time to behead Brahma when he lied during Linga episode.
@SwiftPushkar Popularly, Kala bhairava is guardian of all Shakti Peetas.

10:02 AM
What is the significance of Khekra, the day after Diwali? Can't find anything on Google.

A: How is it possible for Rama to reach Ayodhya in 20 days from Dusherra?

TezzI do not know how the story of Rama killing Ravana on Vijaya Dashami and returning on Deepawali spreaded. If we go through Valmiki Ramayana. It doesn't gives precise information on Ravana killing and Returning gap days. Furthermore it is not possible that Rama killed Ravana on Vijaya Dashami an...

@Tezz You posted verse from Padma Purana so doesn't Valmiki Ramayana contain Phalguna-Chaitra part?

@ChinmaySarupria I think Valmiki Ramayana doesn't gives that information... It talks only about Nakshtras in few places... although I haven't read it in ValmikiRamayana....
