Hello all. I just wanted to let everybody know that I will not be participating anymore in Islam.SE for the foreseeable future. I think that the site has taken a turn for the worse in the past few months or so, and I no longer feel it worth the effort to continue to contribute. If anybody needs to reach me, the mods have my email address.

@Daniel Sadly, you speak the truth, and I definite agree with your reasons

Hi All, been here after a while
Reading some old chat messages
esp about current affairs and Isreal-palestine. Let me bring some peace here.
We should not bring hate here. It never works and it will not work.
@infatuated this is not genocide, but I am sure they are breaking many international laws by attacking civilian places, even schools.
A deeper problem is issue over the land. If Isreal wants the land, where will Palestinians go?
Also the Muslim world is silent and will NOT intervene. That is where the problem lies.
Palestinians are left to GOD who is suppose to help them? This just does not work sadly.
Hope Hamas will compromise. it is the weaker who does the comprise not the stronger. This is politics come into play. There is no other way sadly.
too tired to type
@DavidWallace left the site?
when did it happen

genocide: the deliberate murder of a whole group or race of people (Longman Dictionary). more than 1300 from the besieged Palestinians have been murdered: almost all civilians. what has been taking place isethnic cleansing of Palestinians through expulsion, murder and occupation. Several acts of genocide have been committed by the Zionists. In the current war whole families have perished in a matter of seconds after heavy civilian bombings.
Plus, there are racist Israeli leaders who openly speak their racist genocidal mentality against Palestinians every now and then, example: presstv.ir/detail/2014/07/16/371556/…
And Hamas should only accept ceasefire, if Israel officially promises to lift the siege of Gaza and never invade Gaza again. Otherwise ceasefire means gradual genocide of Gazans and new aggressions by Israelis.
But in the final analysis, there seems to be no solution to the Palestinian problem other than total destruction of state of Israel, as zionist leaders never satisfy to anything short of Ertz Israel (Greater Israel from Nile to Euphrate). and they have proven that all the peace talks rhetoric is a cunning tactic of pacifying and disarming Palestinians so that they can not resist the expanding occupation.
To summarize, Israel judging by its criminal record has no legitimacy. It should be dismantled. Israel leaders put on war crime trials, and Israeli settlers sent back to their homelands and Palestine restored to their native people: Palestinians.

@infatuated I am not disagreeing, in fact I agree with every single word you have said, but this is no the place for the way you present the truth, we all as Muslim understand what Isra'eel is, Isra'eel is neither good nor pure evil, so if they are not the first, and not fully the last, then they are still.... and I guess you can finish my sentence in your head, but leave it at that

But did I ever say all israelis are pure evil? I'm talking about criminal Israeli leaders

There is no point in arguing the way you do, all you are going to do is get your self suspended, or have get Palestine and Isra'eel discussion fully banned from here, and what good can you do suspended? and what small good can we do if the matter is fully banned?
@infatuated I am not saying you said that, actually I would love to say that but I can't

but why there should be a ban at all? for what reasons i mean? I mean if politics are decided ok by the community in chat, then what's wrong with it?
if the facts of Arab-Israeli conflict are bitter and disturbing is not my or anyone else's fault.

@infatuated I cannot answer your questions, I do not fully agree with stuff here, but what I do agree with is this place is not what is known as a "soapbox"

So does that mean chat is not for any serious discussion even if the topic brought up is a serious one?

10:48 AM
@infatuated it is not those facts, it is the way you are presenting them that is a problem for this place, calling people "Demons" (for example) and so on, even if believable, is not the way to present it

so let's declare that chat is only reserved for fun and amusement.
I agree with that! So it is more a matter of tone and language not the subject.

@infatuated I did not say that
@infatuated absolutely not, I cannot have this chat room become like all the others on this network

sorry, which message of mind does your last message refer to? the one about tone and subject?

@infatuated I wasn't referring to any specific one, I was just giving a general example from what I have seen from you discussions
I guess if you want specific messages, you can look at the ones deleted by other mods

Alright, I will do my best from now on, to use a moderate language even if the topics naturally invite heartfelt emotions.

10:54 AM
@infatuated Good, Thank you. :)

@infatuated it does fall in genocide in some ways. Palestinians are oppressed in a lot of ways. But then I do not know the full story.
At least it is not as worse as in other parts of the world where mass graves have been found.
IMO even the situation in Syria and Iraq (ISIS) is worse than Palestine.
Anyways we should not talk in a hateful way, the language here should be acceptable to ALL.

3:18 PM
it is wrong to compare the situation in Gaza to Syria or Iraq. In Syria and Iraq we have extremist groups funded, infiltrated and manipulated by US, Saudi and Mossad fighting the Syrian and Iraqi governments which are allied to the anti-US anti-Israeli resistance block comprised of Iran, Hezbullah and Hamas, whereas in Gaza we have the 4th or 5th largest military in the world supported, financed and armed by the world superpower against a besieged civilian population.
