question doesn't specify man-made sources. it's asking about natural sources from my reading.

"human sources" isn't "man-made sources".

the crux, i believe, is "Are foods derived from human sources halal?"

so while it in and of itself may be halal, the question of it's source still needs to be accounted for.

in the same way gelatin is halal, but is generally considered haram if it's derived from pig bones.

one source of l-cystine is boar bristles, not sure how common that is. the dominant sources in the industry seem to be human and poultry.

it's also possible that some interpretations would consider maitah sources to be haram.

(speculating, would need to actually research that)

i did that when i created adab, there were a few others that were already posted that the tag was also useful for.

@Ershad - i take issue with translating zuhd as asceticism

the word "asceticism" comes with a lot of connotations and baggage in the West

that should not be associated with zuhd

it's not a one-to-one mapping

yeah, might as well remove the definition; since the question is essentially asking what it means, you can assume the answerer already knows what it is :p

or rebuilding your second line question a bit more like "It is normally translated as asceticism, but does that mean living in poverty etc etc...."

I do have answers.. But, I am looking for better ones.. I have answers from Imams like Ahmad Ibn Hanbal.. etc. But, I don't really have narrations from Prophet regarding that.. So, I guess someone might have a better answer

"supersymmetry" was used by physicts to plug holes in the standard model, so if the do find higgs boson they will still be in a problem :)

Letters are different, we use latin alphabet. Also, language changed a lot too. Ottoman Turkish included lots of Arabic & Persian.

Normally I could read Qur'an, but that site's font is really hard for me to read.
