I'm going to start reopening questions that are viable for people that are upgrading to the iOS8 version that is released to the public.

so what time do we think the release is coming? is there an over/under?

i'm seeing time remaining estimates all over the place

been fluctuating between 30 min and an hour for about 45 min now

Are you downloading from iTunes on a computer or directly on the iOS device?

The first download was about 10 minutes, but my other downloads are 45 min or so ETA at this point...

Wooo! iOS 8 looks great on all my devices so far

Especially liking the Apple TV update.

iCloud is a little sluggish - I wish Apple had cautions up at the status page instead of green lights across the board. The servers are unreachable more than not for me the last hour or so.
