@NickAlexeev I think it would make a lot more sense on Arduino S.E.

The fact that you're using a Pi is irrelevant or tangential if the question is about a suspected bug in (or proper usage of...) the Arduino I2C implementation.

Rather than asking to migrate it, it's probably easier to just delete it on E.E. (since it hasn't received any attention there), then re-post on Arduino.

@goobering I put my name on the waiting list, I figure if it involves a C/C++ compiler I have a decent chance of getting somewhere eventually if I keep a tongue depressor between my teeth. Although I still haven't actually done anything with the 8266 (my plans for it are higher up in a building where the lower floors are not finished yet...).

Unfortunately the Adafruit waiting list seems to work by giving all the fresh stock to @SteveRobillard then alerting you by having him post somewhere about how he just got the last umpteen widgets at Adafruit.

@goldilocks Good luck on all counts! Think I'm happy to let the big kids do all the hard work before I go putting my sticky pawprints all over the nice clean code. I'll only do bad things with it. :P
