there we go again, pacman -Suy and reboot and something is not working anymore
now it's both netctl and kodi

@Ghanima pacman Which distros use that package management system?

Arch
Not sure why he's using it. They call it the bleeding edge for a reason! :P

Arch, I call it bleeding hell
and I am not sure why I am using it either ;)
this very Pi is doing little more than mopidy and kodi; and now kodi is dead'ish

12:54 AM
oh look, stackexchange helped me solve the network issue

1:23 AM

Guys
Any of you know why this chatroom is called "The Bakery"?

@user289273 (Aka. aqk) Normal formatting tips are here:
Which is linked from a sidebar in the "Ask Questions" page.

2:10 PM
@PandaLion98 you're looking for a more in depth answer than Pi(e), Cake, Bakery ;)

@PandaLion98 Well this is the place to talk (Raspberry Pi[e]) shop.

Do we have a "pi-1" tag for questions relating to the single core hardware (which may or may not include the "Zero" and/or the "Compute Module") but explicitly excludes the pi-2?

9:12 PM
@SlySven: I don't think so.
We probably should...

If the edit I did for a recent question gets approved we will have! 8-)

9:34 PM
@SlySven You still need those approved? :P
I have voted for their acceptance.

Only 1.76 K rep ATM...! 8-) {I need 2K I believe!}

Well, hurry up and take some more. @goldilocks has lots. Take some of his.
:P

@SlySven no, but we have a, a+, b, b+ tags, which are for model 1 types, more or less along this meta.raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/720/…
@SlySven the thing is, that we split the formerly existing tag pi1 up into the dedicated model-tags

We do need a not pi-2 tag I think...

He has a good point. Yeah, then I could use it for my Banana Pi, or potato too!

9:49 PM
the question here seems to indicate that there is a need for pi-1 tag without being specific to a or b
@SlySven yes, more or less, for the single-core type

@Jacobm001 How many processing cores does your Potato-pie have?

More than yours! :P

your potato pi is off-topic

You're off-topic.
Yes, I'm feeling rather childish today... :P
ducks for the ban hammer

where is the button when you need it

My point came about from a question that was about running something on a Model 1 (?) - which was probably failing because the application was multi-threaded/processed and wanted those extra CPUs...

@SlySven That shouldn't cause an application to fail.
It'll waste CPU cycles, but it shouldn't actually cause something to fail.

if you want to keep that tag, you need to provide a usage excerpt and wiki entry to indicate how it should be used over the other tags a, a+ and so on

I'll get on it now. Leaves to coddle the new-born tag and to wrap it up warmly in some text swaddling.

we might also consider this tag a candidate for a tag warning, e.g. to point out again if it is used to think whether a, a+, b, or b+ might also fit and be more specific - meta.raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/730/…

10:29 PM
@SlySven you put that apostrophe in there just for the apostrophe's sake

10:49 PM
BTW how does one enter a tag with it's grey-background into a block of text - it is possible but I've forgotten how it is done...
In the main SE not here BTW!

@SlySven [ tag : tagname ]
w/o the whitespaces
