@EricGagnon It's because of the lighting. If the entire room itself moved, they'd have to have used dynamic lights which are calculated on the fly, rather than before hand, which makes them much slower. — Arda XiAug 22 '11 at 19:07
Basically, rendering a moving room is a gigantic burden. So they just move the portal, rather than the room.

So the Adventure Time game is a lot like Zelda II. Not sure how I feel about it.
Blu-Ray in a game console was truly revolutionary in a game console in 2005, but probably a bit too early. The Cell processor was... truly a mistake in a console in 2005.
Pretty sure it would've burnt itself out in time, but it was getting bigger and bigger.
But I didn't want to risk it; if it went up, I don't have a fire extinguisher in the house, so putting it out if it took out the oven would've been...problematic.

Yeah that's one of those times you just get it out and worry about the stove later for sure.
So I've tried this twice now and it's taken me about 5 minutes each time and it feels way too random.
