I found a bunch of one-time use serials which are perfect because I can use them and then publish my projector and then next time I boot it up it's expired. I'm running out though.

The problem is that it says I'm missing a Quicktime xtra (plugin)

I've tried adding all of the ones I can find... but without being able to publish it, I can't tell if it's actually working or not

I really don't want to wait until Sunday when it's due and publish it at my college to find out it doesn't work.

Relating to Quicktime.

@GraceNote In Director, these things called 'xtras' are like plugins

To add an xtra to my projector (exe) I have to add it in the stub director file, then publish that as a new exe

OTherwise, the exe jut loads up the .dir files so I don't need to worry about re-publishing it

I'm having a problem where it says I'm missing an Xtra, and it won't play a quicktime movie in the projector

So I need to figure out what I'm missing in the xtras

They allow for extra functionality

@GraceNote The problem with that is that it plays fine in authoring mode. But not in the projector. I had this problem with an .swf a little while ago too, and I'm not quite sure what happened to fix it.

It doesn't give you the name of whatever you're missing.

@GraceNote I clarified after: I meant first-party knock offs. I recognize the genre is fairly well-defined outside of Smash Bros. (heck, I can think of a half-dozen flash games). This is a first for Sony ( I think) and I don't think Sega or Microsoft created Smash Bros. clones to showcase their exclusive properties

It's not really a big deal either way. Originality is a rare enough thing - I mean the entire idea of genre is about many things that are highly similar in a lot of ways. If the game is fun then great. If not, so be it.

Well, Windows Movie Maker is better than you might think if you're just stating out.

Adobe Premiere is nice, but very expensive, and pretty complicated.

So a recorder is only a secondary concern if I wanted to record desktop stuff.

Sony has some suites that aren't as fuly featured as Vegas, but if you're just doing gaming vids, that would be fine.

Time remapping is a tricky thing.

I know how to do it in After Effects, sort of, but I always end up having to equalize it, so if I slow something down, I have to speed something else back up

Then again, I've only done it once
