EA's help site is hilarious. The site picks zh-SG as the default locale for Singapore - in a country where everybody speaks English, except it thinks zh-SG is actually English

Then it passes that locale to the EA account login page, which correctly picks Chinese based on the locale passed to it, except it picked the wrong type of Chinese for Singapore - Traditional, not Simplified

There's so many mistakes in i18n and localization here it's amazing

To be fair, from my experience the only people living in signapore are ponies and they can't play games anyway

I did the first vehicle destruction mission without having researched rocket launchers.

And I didn't feel like stealthing around two/three tanks to plant with C4.

I did it with C4, I just camped the bridge.

I didn't clear out the outpost with the intel completely so I couldn't get to the predicted route fast enough.

Since I had to crawl past all the guards.

(I also did this mission in broad daylight)

Q: How to keep my ping/latency steady?

I have broadband connection with 512 kbps speed. Sometimes I get 200 latency and sometimes 300. How can I keep that steady? It's really annoying.

For the three commanders one, I just waited until they were at their separate bases and ~~kidnapped~~ recruited everyone.

There's a lot of depth of field blurring though

@Rapitor it's impressive... but 99% of that is good texture work

And I thought the difficulty wasn't in rendering near realistic scenes, but rather doing so in real time on currently available hardware, and the amount of time artists need to create the textures

@KevinvanderVelden most of high end engine is just lighting and textures now. modeling is pretty much the best it's going to get

Unreal 5 engine uses ACTUAL rocks.

@Rapitor I'm mostly objecting to people showing pictures like that and going engine is amazing. No, that's just good texture and shader work, that can be made in unity nearly as well (precomputed lighting in unreal is way better, true, but blender can export that as well)

What are you trying to do with it that's not possible in the dev tools?
