@James I'm not a video editing wizard, so I can't show you video proof that death animation is half a second, but it is

in fact, I'm pretty crappy at video editing and whatnot

but anyways, I recorded a boss kill at 120 fps, I moved frame by frame and sliced it from where the death animation begins and where the next mob shows up on screen

and then I put a timecode on it and it was 0.501 seconds

there's some margin for error because it's 120 fps, would probably be more precise with more, but I think it's safe to assume that death animation lasts half a second

@Yuuki Mostly to reduce the probability of a cascading failure

It's not even an issue of generation per se (though it is in some places) - in most cases, it's literally just that the wires and the substations and the transformers cannot carry enough electricity to meet demand and eventually one of them fails and then the whole system can come down over a larger area from feedback.

i.e. a localized outage shouldn't cause a regional one because the system suddenly became overloaded due to that one missing piece.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Ugh, so much infrastructure needs maintenance or just plain replacement but I'm guessing it's not being done because something something politics?

First time I got an error message, but I had already clicked away and couldn't read it fast enough.

Huh, the reject went through though.

So it worked, but gave me an error, returning to the review page and trying again causes an empty error. I blame firefox for evading the normal postback "you reviewed this already thing". firefox doesn't reload the page on going back, it actually just gets it back from recent memory.

Also who do I want to blame for me being awake... hrm...
